At William Gordon Winery we cultivate our grapes on the eastern slopes of the northern end of the Alexander Valley, the premier Cabernet appellation of Sonoma County. We have raised and nurtured our fruit for some of the county’s preeminent wineries, including Silver Oak Alexander Valley, Jordan Cabernet and currently St. Francis Winery.
The Pesonen Vineyard – five acres of Cabernet Sauvignon (Planted in 1998) Paul’s Vineyard – two acres of Cabernet Sauvignon (Planted in 2007)
The Perry Vineyard – three acres of Petite Sirah (Planted in 2006)
200 Spanish and Italian Olive Trees – primarily Arbequina & Empletre
Our winemaking philosophy is to make a premium quality Cabernet in small quantity with grapes picked at optimal ripeness. The hillside vineyard provides us with well drained soil that keeps our yields low, producing the highest quality fruit. Our goal is to produce the finest expression of Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
